TRAVELING TO CHINA ADVICE PAGE!
|
The Humble
Administrators Garden was a home to an administrator. The story
goes that the administrator was corrupt, and the emperor found out about
it, so he fired the administrator. However, the administrator still
had lots of money (from his corruptness), and so to show his ability to be
humble and his virtuous nature, he built this garden. Sure seemed to
me like a beautiful place, perfect for a person of virtue!

Suzhou is a canal city (many of the streets are
waterways), and unfortunately the picture I took makes it look very run
down, but actually, Suzhou was quite a beautiful city!
That night we went to see a traditional show with
traditional Chinese food.
It was fun to see some of China's older customs and eat food which
included little white squid.

Random pictures that got out of order. Nice pictures on the right
though.
