The
Childrens Palace is where kids (3-14) can go after school or on breaks to
learn things that are not taught in their schools. We saw ballet,
calligraphy, drawing, singing, violins, and much more.

The
Weaving Factory was fascinating. They weave silk into carpets. One
carpet can take anywhere from 3 months to 9 years to make, depending on how big the
carpet is and how many knots are used to make that carpet.
These carpets are about 3 feet * 2 feet. The
number of knots determines how long it takes to make the rug. From
right to left, it takes 3 months, 1 year, and 3 years to make these
rugs.

Some people in our group didn't know the expense of what
they were laying on.

Yu Yuan
Garden was very pretty. The dragons in this garden were my favorite
part!

The Bund is
a river. We walked along it and you could see many of the buildings in
Shanghai, including the third tallest building in the world. It looks
really futuristic.

This panoramic view is also available in a
single picture below.

Going away party. Sad! But it
was a fun dinner!
