The Great Wall & the Ming Tombs

The Great Wall is over 6000 kilometers long, but we climbed only the steepest part of this amazing wall. The steps range from about 3 inches to 9 inches! It is quite a challenge to get to the top, but Deanna and I did it!
         

     
We traveled with a choir of 300 people,, so we also sung at the Great Wall. 
That was quite an amazing experience!

The Ming Tombs are where some of the Ming dynasty�s emperors are buried.  The Tombs are guarded by a series of statue animals and human guards.  These include dragons, lions, horses, camels, elephants, and others. There are two of each animal or guard, one standing and one lying down.  There is a legend which says that the one standing is on guard, while the one lying down is off duty, but that they would switch places at night.
